Duet for Emilio Gutierrez & Thomas Noone
Premiere 21/22 of July 2012 Barcelona, Spain
Thomas Noone has invited Rootlessroot to create a part of a full-evening performance that will be composed by 3 different choreographers from Spain, Israel and Greece. Rootlessroot's creation is conceived in contrary to the concept of a traditional “sit-down-and-face-torwards dance performance. Three-3 images of different worlds and complete confusion accompanied by a time-lasting visual installation, created in collaboration with Ilianna Skoulaki, and music by Vasilis Mantzoukis.

BULLDOG ANT
New Commission for Rootlessroot by St. Gallen Theater Premiere 1 of November 2012 in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Rootlessroot will be creating a new performance for 12 dancers on original music composed by Vasilis Mantzoukis. Perfect Piece for Perfect Country is a working frame where we will be exploring the laughter. Laughter as an excess, sacrifice, wastefulness that has power to demolish all serious thoughts about ourselves, our opinions and our prides. As Foucalt says: "In laughter we have the liberation of forgetting: stepping out of history with dance, into labyrinthine lightness of the moment".
